I have always believed in the power of the moment, that your life can change in a matter of seconds. Everything I do must be held at the same level; down to the two minutes each morning and night I spend brushing my teeth, it all holds high value. I started using everyday material as my canvas because I believe every second of my life is significant. At times I find myself living life unconsciously, going from here to there without any memory of what happened in between. When I do that I feel as though I am throwing my life away. I use everyday material as my canvas to communicate the significance of not only daily tasks we all find ourselves involved in, but the several strangers and acquaintances we pass by all the time. This is to further express my philosophy that all experiences and persons (even though it is indirect) shape our lives and must be held with a great deal of respect.
